Course Information

Course Credit:  15 CEUs

Cost: $1,800.00
A nonrefundable registration fee of $100.00 will be processed at the time of registration. The remaining $1,700.00 will be charged on the first day of class when all prerequisites are met.

Course Description: A comprehensive program designed for the licensed professional nurse returning to clinical practice. The course will integrate contemporary concepts in pathophysiology, physical assessment, and pharmacology to the care of culturally diverse adult medical surgical patients during classroom, online, and clinical experiences.

Pre-Course Requirements: After registering for the course, review the pre-course, clinical requirements located at the link on the right side of this page.  All required documentation must be submitted to Certified Background two weeks before the first class.  Allow for a minimum of 6 weeks to complete the pre-course requirements.   Failure to successfully complete the pre-course requirements will prevent clinical placement. 

Classes:  GMU Fairfax Campus, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Parking is available in campus parking decks for a daily fee of $14.00.

NOTE: Registration is a 2 part process. First, register for the course at the link (right side) of page. Once registered for the course,  contract with Certified Background to complete the pre-course requirements. Class capacity is limited. Register early.
