The MSWSA is committed to the personal, professional, and academic development of the MSW student body. It promotes service, advocacy, and social events that engage the graduate student community, and provides leadership to meet the unique goals, needs, and concerns of its members.

The MSW program can be completed in two or three years, as either a part-time or full-time student. A prospective student with a Bachelor's degree in social work can apply to be admitted into the one year, advanced standing program. In addition, we now offer a dual degree program with the Institute for Conflict Analysis & Resolution (ICAR).
The MSW program prepares students to become ethical and competent social work professionals in today’s rapidly changing world. All students receive training in cultural competence, technology, communication, social work values, collaboration, global understanding, and problem solving.
