Dr. Baghi is an associate professor in the College of Health and Human Services, Department of Global and Community Health. He teaches advanced quantitative data analysis for health care research. In addition he coordinates the Biostatistics Certificate and the Master program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, jointly sponsored with the Department of Applied & Engineering Statistics, School of Information Technology & Engineering. His research interests include application of statistical and psychometric modeling techniques (e.g. confirmatory factor analysis) in healthcare research using LISREL; Investigation of job analysis methodologies for licensure and certification examinations in nursing practice; computer-adaptive testing; item response theory; experimental design and applied multivariate statistics.
