Lucy Boland's clinical background is in maternal/infant nursing (obstetrics) and women's health. Along with teaching in these areas, Ms. Boland also teaches fundamentals of nursing and technologies in nursing. Her current research interests are violence against women and children, as well as spirituality and nursing.
Ms. Boland received an award for Outstanding Academic Advising in 1991. In 1997, she received an award for GMU Catholic Campus Ministry Faculty Support. She is active in the American Association of Women's Health, Obsteric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and has held numerous local and state positions.
