Beverly Boyd has over thirty years of experience in continuing education/staff development and professional development administration. She has held various nursing staff and administrative positions in both Health Service as well as Higher Education. Her teaching and scholarship focus in the areas of leadership/management as well as adult education and health professional career work-force development. Ms. Boyd has authored several professional publications related to adult and continuing education and the formation of community partnerships to support professional development. She has also served as past Executive Director of the Virginia Nurses Association.
Ms. Boyd is responsible for the initial development of the George Mason College of Health and Human Services Professional Development Program in 1976 and has returned to again serve as Director of the Office of Academic Outreach since 1988.
