Kathy Dickman joined the faculty at GMU in 2004 as a full time instructor in the Nurse Practitioner Program. She maintains a clinical practice at Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic in the Adult Hypertension Clinic and the Children’s Clinic. Previously, Ms. Dickman practiced as a family nurse practitioner for seven years. Her interest as a clinician includes health care issues of underserved populations, especially women with chronic illnesses. She participated in two medical mission projects in Paraguay (2003) and Zimbabwe (2005). She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
