Dr. Langley received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, her master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and her PhD from George Mason University. She has held clinical positions in acute care, home care and public health settings. She has also held teaching and administrative positions in higher education for over twenty years. Her teaching responsibilities are centered within the undergraduate pathways to the BSN.
Dr. Langley has held numerous positions in service activities and professional organizations. She holds appointments on School of Nursing and university committees, and serves on advisory boards in the community. She is active in the Virginia Association of Colleges of Nursing.
Her research interests have focused on nursing curriculum development, asthma prevention among school-aged children, and the development of expertise among nurses.
