Cynthia Liss has been teaching at George Mason since January 1999 and has been a full time faculty member for the past two years (2001). Areas of interest include: Community Health, ICU and Med./ Surg. She is a clinical instructor for junior and senior level Traditional, LPN, and Second Degree students in both community health and acute care settings.
For three years she worked closely with Georgine Redmond as a faculty member with the Asthma Education for Underserved Children Grant. Currently, she is the acting Clinical Liaison for the Undergraduate Nursing Program in securing clinical placements for undergraduate clinical courses.
She has worked at Northwestern University; Acute Spinal Cord Unit and ICU in the staff nurse, Assistant Head Nurse and Head Nurse capacity.
