Lin E. Noyes
Director, Family Respite Center

Lin Noyes is the founder and current Director of the Family Respite Center in Falls Church, VA. As a founding director of the first and only dementia-specific day-care center in Northern Virginia, she has turned a concept of care into a viable nonprofit business that increases the quality of life for people with dementia and their families. Lin is well known in the Northern Virginia area for her numerous presentations to community and professional groups on aspects of caring for Alzheimers' victims. Prior to founding the Family Respite Center, she held various positions in the field of aging, which included, Program Director, Dementia Resource Center, National Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation,  Co-Director, Wellness Program, Goodwin House, and various staff nursing and positions. She has been a clinical instructor at George Mason University, and frequently provides guest lectures in the College of Health and Human Services. Lin has an impressive list of publications and speaking engagements. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, and has been affiliated with Virginia Governor's Task Force on Alzheimer's Disease, the Virginia Governor's Commission on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders and the Public Policy Committee, Alzheimer's Association. Lin currently serves on the George Mason University's Gerontology Certificate Programs' Advisory Committee.
