Kathleen F. Gaffney, PhD, RN, F/PNP-BC

Kathleen Gaffney

Dr. Gaffney, professor of nursing, teaches research methods courses. She is a pediatric and family nurse practitioner whose clinical research focuses on child health promotion. Her current studies examine the predictors of infant health outcomes, with an emphasis on risk factors for rapid weight gain in the first year of life for infants of low income. Dr. Gaffney's skills include research proposal development and implementation. She has been the principal investigator on four National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded studies.
