Virginia Public Health Association (VPHA) Annual Conference
Our Department will host the 2008 VPHA Annual Conference this year
recognizing the 100th Anniversary of Virginia's Department of Health. Please

Researchers Study Chronic Illness and Its Relationship
to Fatigue
Dr. Gerber's Center for the Study of Chronic Illness and Disability
has found that fatigue is a common complaint for those who suffer
from chronic illness. The

New on Bookshelves
Faculty member Kathryn H. Jacobsen is the author of the new textbook
Introduction to Global Health (Jones & Bartlett Publishers).
The book provides information about socioeconomic contributors
to health and disease, maternal and child health, infectious
diseases, nutrition, environmental health, health economics
and policy, epidemiology, ethics, and other key international
health topics.
The Department of Global and Community Health has suspended admission into the Gerontology Program until the fall of 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Although, the MS in Health Science, Concentration Gerontology degree program is "on-hold", students may still be able to enroll in the Graduate Certificate in Gerontology. For more information on the gerontology certificate please visit the certificate's home page.
