The second degree pathway is designed for previously degreed students interested in pursuing a second undergraduate degree in nursing. This accelerated 12 month program begins in the fall semester. Students should apply to GMU as transfer students for fall admission AND submit the second degree application to the School of Nursing.

Because of the intensity of this program, it is strongly recommended that students not work while enrolled in these accelerated courses.
All nursing students must be certified yearly in Basic Life Support CPR- Level C.
Two of the three injections for Hepatitis B immunization must be completed prior to enrolling in clinical/practicum/internship courses. The third injection must be completed by SIX MONTHS of injection #2. (See College of Health and Human Services Form for additional health requirements that must be completed before starting clinicals in the junior year).
