Explanation of Credit Hours
Course titles are followed by numbers in parentheses (0:0:0), separated by colons.
The numbers have the following significance:
- First Number: credits for the course
- Second Number: hours of lecture or seminar per week for the course
- Third Number: hours of laboratory for the course
For independent study, readings, topics, or similar courses, individual instructors
set hours.
* Students will have the option to increase clinical hours per semester. This
will have implications for those students who desire to become Clinical Nurse
Specialist and sit for the ANCC Certification Exam. Credits will vary according
to the number of clinical hours students enrolled in.
The program of study is flexible and courses are scheduled to enable full-time
and part-time study during day and evening hours. Full-time students may be
eligible for Federal Traineeship awards.
