This certificate program offers formal study in theory and practice in nursing administration in the health care delivery system for the nurses with a master's degree in nursing or a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in another discipline from an accredited institution.

Program Requirements

Applicants to the certificate must have either a master's degree in nursing or a bachelor's degree in nursing and master's degree in another discipline from an accredited institution. Application is made through the Admissions Office of the University. A requirement for the certificate is 15 credits of graduate course work in which a 3.00 GPA is earned.

Explanation of Credit Hours
Course titles are followed by numbers in parentheses (0:0:0), separated by colons. The numbers have the following significance:

• First Number: credits for the course
• Second Number: hours of lecture or seminar per week for the course
• Third Number: hours of laboratory for the course

For independent study, readings, topics, or similar courses, individual instructors set hours.

A completed Hepatitis B immunization series is required before enrollment in clinical/practicum/internship courses.
