Located within the Department of Health Administration and Policy, College of Health and Human Services, the Program in Senior Housing Administration offers the nation's first undergraduate and graduate curriculum dedicated exclusively to this rapidly growing field. Since its inception in 2001 more than 500 students have completed coursework within the Program, with alum employed in community, regional, divisional, corporate, association, and related senior housing positions throughout the United States.

The Program in Senior Housing Administration is designed to provide graduates with the operational, marketing, resident care, and hospitality services skills required to become effective executives and managers of senior housing communities. Equally important, the program provides exposure to and understanding of the unique philosophy of senior housing relative to choice, dignity, autonomy, and quality of life for older adults.
