The mission of this unit is to provide adult educational services which support the continued professional development and competency of practicing health professionals. This purpose is accomplished through collaborative relationships with expert health and instructional resources; individual and organizational - both internal and external to the University.
Sponsored activities are based on the interests and needs of individual learners and contracting organizations. Participants are frequently Registered Nurses, Physicians, Health Agency Administrators, Allied Health Professionals, and graduate and undergraduate students in degree granting health professional programs. On occasion, events are directed to the general community interested in specific health related topics.
Graduate and undergraduate credit courses and non-credit (CEU granting) activities are provided. This office develops and implements contract courses and CHHS degree programs; workshops, conferences, and distance learning opportunities integrating diverse learning activities and formats.
This office welcomes the opportunity to partner with other offices and agencies, in and out of the university that have compatible interests and goals in support of continued professional development for health professionals.
