Undergraduate Internship and Graduate Practicum Opportunities with the Mason COVID-19 Vaccination Sites

Like many students you’ve likely wondered, “How can I help my community during the COVID-19 pandemic?” Mason is seeking undergraduate and graduate students to support the COVID-19 vaccination efforts on Mason campuses.

Students will have the opportunity to work with trained staff on a variety of activities related to managing and operating a COVID-19 vaccination site such as assisting with patient check-in, vaccination (with appropriate qualifications), logistical support, and check-out.

Other opportunities may include providing education, assessing behavioral health, research and data collection, and providing logistical support.

The following electives are open to ALL Mason students (unrestricted).

HHS – 490 COVID-19 Response Internship (1-3 credits)*
HHS – 790 COVID-19 Response Practicum (1-3 credits)

*HHS 490 may meet requirements for Mason Impact.

No specific training is required for enrollment. All students must complete the required 9 module training offered by the Virginia Department of Public Health irrespective of duties.

All COVID-19 Response Internship and Practicum Students will be eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccination.
