William (Bill) G. Saur

William G. (Bill) Saur is an adjunct instructor of social work at George Mason University and at University of Maryland School of Social Work. He has over 40 years of experience in social work, as a manager, consultant, educator and clinician.
During the past 20 years, Dr. Saur has been working with International NGOs, Fulbright Commission and USAID on various projects concerning international social work and international development. From 1994 to 2007, he lived in East Europe and was involved with post-communist social welfare reform programs. Previously, he was a clinical social worker and on the teaching faculty at University of North Carolina School of Social Work and Duke University Medical Center.
Bill earned MSW and PhD at Florida State University and MA at New York University. He is author or co-author of 23 publications, including journal articles, books and monographs.
