Michael von Fricken

Michael von Fricken received his MPH in Epidemiology and his PhD in Environmental and Global Health from University of Florida. During his time at University of Florida, Dr. von Fricken has held various research positions, funded by grants from DoD Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center, Global Emerging Infections Surveillance and Response Division (AFHSC- GEIS), while working as a study coordinator at the Emerging Pathogens Institute. Much of his work has focused on infectious diseases in Haiti, specifically vector borne disease, and he hopes to continue to contribute to current malaria elimination efforts for the Island of Hispaniola.
