Student Research

CHHS  >  GCH  >  Research

Both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Global and Community Health provide students opportunities to engage in meaningful public health research through coursework, independent research studies, graduate research assistants, and by volunteering for faculty-directed research projects.  Students learn how to formulate significant research questions, apply epidemiologic methods to explore a variety of health problems, analyze quantitative and quality data using the most advanced statistics techniques and software, interpret results, and disseminate findings through the publication of refereed articles in prominent scientific journals.  Student research training is an important part of our research mission and our faculty are eager to help students develop the skills to advance their careers or pursue a pathway for doctoral research training.
