Who We Are

Students for Seniors (S4S) strives to enrich the lives of senior citizens through volunteer work and by raising awareness of current issues facing the elderly population. Founded in 2014 by a group of dedicated students in interested in senior housing administration (located within the Department of Health Administration and Policy), S4S welcomes all undergraduate and graduate students at Mason who are interested in volunteering with the elderly, better understanding the aging population, and making connections with professionals in the industry.

The organization is also interested in fighting Alzheimer’s, which affects one in nine Americans older than 65, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. To address this prominent issue, S4S participates in fundraising events such as the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
