This is the first in a series of video messages from the Dean’s Office. Dean Melissa Perry will regularly share updates about the great work of the College to keep you informed, engaged, and connected. Highlights from this week's video include:

  • It’s a great time to be in public health and health care – the increase in applications to public health programs nationwide and rapidly growing health-related careers make this a great place to be.
  • Soon we will welcome 3,000 new and returning students to the College – including the largest ever number of graduate students. Thank you for all you do to support our students.
  • A shout out for new research from Farrokh Alemi (HAP) and a team of faculty and student researchers whose modeling compares the probability of COVID infection versus flu infection based on symptoms (read more below).

Thanks for all you do – it’s a fantastic time to be involved in public health, in population health, and in the delivery of health care. We can accomplish this together.
