Students for Seniors Raise Funds, Participate in Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Mason’s Students for Seniors organization participated in the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 24 in Washington, DC, raising $585 for the Alzheimer’s Association. The association increases awareness and provides support programs for people, including families and caregivers, impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.

The team was also recognized with a medal as part of the walk’s Champion Club for donating more than $500 and reaching the team’s fundraising goal.

Students for Seniors provides volunteer and related activities that support the quality of life for older adults in the community. The organization is comprised of more than 30 students from various departments within CHHS and other colleges at Mason.
