Mason’s Bachelor of Science in Health Administration Receives Full Reaccreditation from Association of University Programs in Health Administration

Program receives Full Certified Undergraduate Program Status for the maximum period six years.

The College of Health and Human Services is proud to announce that its Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BSHA) has been reaccredited by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) with Full Certified Undergraduate Program Status. AUPHA is the standard-bearer for graduate and undergraduate education in health administration. Undergraduate program members certified by AUPHA are recognized for having withstood the rigors of peer review in which curricula, faculty, and educational outcomes are critically examined. External stakeholders such as prospective students, employers, and graduate-level programs view certification as a way to distinguish an academic program from its peers. AUPHA Certification is a hallmark of excellence when prospective students and their families seek out a program where they will invest in their future.

“We are very pleased the Mason BS in Health Administration degree received full AUPHA re-accreditation for maximum duration, reinforcing our position among the best of the best programs nationwide,” said Dr. P.J. Maddox, chair of the Department of Health Administration and Policy. “This is an important distinction of quality among academic programs and speaks to our ability to prepare individuals for successful careers in health administration.”

“AUPHA accreditation signifies the caliber of faculty and the experiential learning that students experience when they earn a BS in Health Administration at Mason,” says Dr. Germaine Louis, dean of the College.
