Biography

Dr. LaDonna Williams is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. Dr. Williams is a nurse educator and preceptor, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in the classroom and clinical settings. Prior to George Mason, she was a Professor of Nursing at Lord Fairfax Community College from 2012-2021. During that time, Dr. Williams served as the Program Lead (2017-2020) and Clinical Coordinator (2016-2020) for the Middletown Campus. Her primary areas of teaching included concepts related to advanced medical/surgical and pediatric nursing. In addition, Dr. Williams served as adjunct faculty for Blue Ridge Community College and Technical Center and Shenandoah University.  

Before entering academia on a full-time basis, Dr. Williams was a Clinical Educator at Winchester Medical Center and Charge nurse on the Post-Surgical Unit at Inova Loudoun Hospital. She also worked as an intensive care nurse at Berkely Medical Center while being a full-time educator.
