In order to gain admission to a CHHS undergraduate program, students must first apply to the university. Our office is not responsible for processing or issuing decisions on applications to the university. We encourage all applicants to contact George Mason University’s Office of Admissions directly at 703-993-2400 or visit the Office of Admissions website to learn more about Mason's application guidelines and requirements.
Department Admission Requirements and Deadlines
Students in the social work major must complete an application during their junior year to be eligible to enroll in the senior year seminar and practicum courses. Please see the BSW Admissions page for more information.
Students interested in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must complete a competitive, second-gate application before admission to the major. The BSN Admissions page contains complete details about the eligibility guidelines, application process, and important deadlines.
Students interested in any other CHHS undergraduate program may simply submit an Undergraduate Change/Declaration of Major form if they are
- admitted to Mason in a different major, and
- in academic good standing
Mason Admissions Decisions
University admissions decisions are determined by George Mason University's Office of Admissions. The College of Health and Human Services is unable to issue decisions on University admissions. Contact the George Mason Office of Admissions for information on admissions guidelines and requirements.
