Biography

Jeanne Booth joined the Social Work Department as Assistant Professor in the fall of 2019 after serving as Adjunct Professor since 2016 with experience in teaching Social Policies, Programs, and Services and Influencing Social Policy. She joins the department with over 28 years of experience providing clinical and administrative social work practice in a variety of areas including clinical and crisis social work, housing and homelessness, community engagement and development, criminal and restorative justice, child welfare services, aging and developmental disability services. Her professional experience includes twenty years in local government. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the Virginia Department of Health Professions and received her MSW from the University of Michigan with a focus on Community Organization and Interpersonal Practice and a BA in Psychology from Agnes Scott College.
